A social football league conceived in 2019 to strengthen lost ties through sports, networking, and community impact. Open to all Mengo old students.
What Is the Mengo Elite League?
The Mengo Elite League (MEL) is an idea conceived in 2019 by a group of Mengo old students with the goal of bringing together and strengthening lost ties through sports specifically football (soccer).
Its core aim is to uphold Mengo Senior School's values through sports, networking, and making a difference in people's lives through engagement in life-changing activities. We recognised that many had lost touch with colleagues due to busy schedules, and the league was born to bridge that gap.
The league uses a 7-a-side format (6 gentlemen + 1 lady per team) played at Mengo Senior School's official pitch, with teams organised by graduation year, all the way through to group stages and a grand final.

Gender Inclusion
Every team must include at least 1 lady ensuring equal opportunity for all Mengonians.
Giving Back

Form Your Team
Gather 7 players, 6 gentlemen and at least 1 lady, ideally from the same graduation year. Pay the team registration fee.
Group Stage
All teams compete in group stages at Mengo Senior School's pitch, with qualified referees and linesmen officiating.
Knockout Rounds
Top teams advance through knockout rounds. League rules are strictly enforced violations attract penalties.
Grand Final
Champions are crowned at the Grand Final. The winning team earns the MEL title and the season prize pool.

What You Need to Join
- 1A team of 7 players at least 6 gents and 1 lady, preferably from the same graduation year.
- 2A team name and a designated captain to represent your team.
- 3Payment of the non-refundable registration fee before the season starts.
- 4Commitment to fair play and the Mengo Elite League rules.
